About the Large Charities Group
CHRN launched a new member-only Special Interest Group to support it's larger charity members in 2024 and we're delighted that PTHR will be the lead commercial partner, led by Perry Timms.
CHRN Interim CEO Peter Reeve, highlights ...
"This new special interest group is a recognition that some of the challenges faced by the larger charities in our membership are different from the smaller organisations. This includes larger, often more complex workforces, multi-layered HR teams and greater public profile and scrutiny. This group will give charities with an annual turnover of £50m+ the opportunity to come together and share their experiences. We are delighted that PTHR with their extensive experience of these challenges in the sector, but also externally, have agreed to partner with this group. We know their insight will be invaluable."
Perry Timms from PTHR added,
"With our interest and experience in systems and organisation design, and with larger charities operating with more "moving parts", we felt this was a perfect match. Aligned to our mission - better business for a better world - and to deliver that through more progressive systems of work HR practices and operating models. We're delighted to work with this SIG, which will allow us to focus on pertinent challenges and opportunities while aiming to enrich the entire VCSE Sector through our work together."
The next meetings of this group in 2025 are planned for:
16th April - 2-3.30pm: Systems Thinking
23rd September - 10.30-midday: Dynamic OD
2nd December - 2-3.30pm: Reimagining HR Business Partnering
Each session will stand alone but these topics are designed to work as a series, offering a logical flow:
- Systems Thinking - exploring organisations in their entirety within the broader environment.
- Dynamic OD - aligning key organisational components to maximise effectiveness, including rethinking management capability.
- HR Business Partnering - examining how People functions behave and operate within this evolving landscape.
