What we do

About the Reward Group

The Reward Group aims to provide CHRN members with the opportunity to keep up to date about reward and recognition strategies, policies and best practice with particular reference to the charity sector. To enable members to increase their knowledge and aid their own development on this subject and share ideas and experiences.  To collaborate on key themes to generate insights into current market practices/challenges.  Ultimately the aim is to promote improved standards of practice in reward and recognition within the charity, voluntary and not-for-profit sectors. 

The meetings in 2024 will take place on the following dates:

  • 28th February, 2-3.30pm
  • 15th May, 2-3.30pm
  • 19th September, 10.30-midday
  • 20th November, 2-3.30pm

David Wreford from Talex has partnered with this group.  Talex is a not-for-profit consultancy providing specialist HR/reward advice to not-for profit organisations. 

The specific areas of focus of this group will be: 

  • Reward strategy  

  • Pay design and management

  • Employee benefits and policies, including leave programmes 

  • Non-financial reward, including recognition schemes 

  • Benchmarking, research and labour market data 

  • Reward governance, process and function design/capabilities
